Meet the Headliners
Tim is one of Canada’s top comedic talents, both as a stand up and comedy writer. He has written on two of Canada’s longest running comedy series – five seasons on “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” (CBC), and all 15 seasons on “The Rick Mercer Report” (CBC). Tim was one of the creators of the top comedy special in Canadian history “Talking to American’s” starring Rick Mercer. Between the two shows, Tim has won four Gemini Awards and three Canadian Screen Awards for best comedic writing as well as numerous Writers’ Guild Awards, Canadian Comedy Awards and an International Emmy Award nomination.
Tim’s comedy specials include, “Comedy Now” (CTV and The Comedy Network), “Comics!” (CBC), for which he was nominated for a Gemini Award, and four gala performances at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. Many Canadians also know Tim from his TV work as a co-star on “The Bette Show” (CBC), as the host of the sports trivia show “Game On” (Global) and the raucous male chat show “Real Men” (Global).
Canadian Comedy Award nominated comedian and podcaster, Julien Dionne, has been touring Canada and parts of the US, since 2006. Originally from Scoudouc, New Brunswick, Julien now calls Wakefield, QC home after a few years in Toronto and in New York City where he cut his comedy teeth and honed his craft alongside some of the best comedians in the world. In 2017 Julien began adding French language performances, his mother tongue, to his repertoire quickly resulting in his inclusion in a 2018 taping on a nationally aired Juste Pour Rire French gala in Edmonton, as part of Les Rendez-Vous De La Francophonie as well as two galas for ComédieHa! in Quebec City (in both French and English).
Julien has been a headline performer at JFL42 (Just for Laughs-Toronto), The Hubcap Comedy Festival in Moncton, The New York City Frigid Fringe Festival, the Cornwall Comedy Festival and every major comedy club from Victoria, BC to St.John’s, Newfoundland. His comedy can also be heard on SiriusXM Radio and CBC Radio.
Julien can be heard twice weekly as host of the popular, "The Julien Dionne Comedy Hour Podcast" on iTunes and at pod.jdcomedyhour.com every Tuesday and Friday and at pod.jdcomedyhour.com. His two comedy albums (Too Soon - 2012 and Beginnings - 2014) have been getting him a lot of attention with fans throughout the comedy world; both albums are available at iTunes or juliendionne.com/albums. Julien has also appeared in numerous television commercials and played a lead role in the CBC mini-series, Canada The Story of Us that aired in 2017.
Andrew got his stand-up comedy career started in 1997 as a dare at the Yuk Yuk’s in Windsor, Ontario. Much to his surprise it was an annual contest searching for the greatest Canadian amateur, and although he did not win, his stand-up routine won him second place. Since then he has entertained audiences from Florida to B.C. with his tell it like it is style.
Andrew is also an accomplished sketch writer and performer as well as an actor both on stage and on the silver screen. Now a fulltime professional touring comic, Andrew has performed twice at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, has appeared at the Boston Comedy Festival, the Hubcap Comedy Festival, three times at the YYC Comedy Festival and many others. His material has been heard on countless radio morning shows, SiriusXM and CBC radio.
He most recently released a comedy album titled “Warning Canadian Content”, and he has another album currently in the works. Andrew is also very passionate about food and wine, becoming a sommelier in 2008. He has kept one foot in the wine business and is currently working on a project to combine his two greatest loves into a national television series.
A true road warrior there are very few weekends a year that he’s not somewhere in the world entertaining a crowd.
